Phyllis Prier (PMHNP)

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a broad scope of nursing experience including ICU, ED, various positions in nurse management along with Risk Management and a focus on mental health over the last twenty years. During my education I have completed a career ladder, obtaining an Associate Degree in Nursing from Moberly Area Community College in 1985, a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Central Methodist University in 2010 and lastly a Masters Degree of Nursing from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 2014.

I tend to gravitate to military veterans and their families, primarily due to the fact that several of my family members are veterans and I studied a focused of post graduate studies on combat related PTSD. With that being said I am dedicated to providing compassionate and caring treatment to adults age 18 and over.

Personally, I am married, have four children, four grandchildren as well as several “unofficial” grandchildren that have come into my life. I have a deep spiritual faith that I rely on daily for wisdom and compassion. My hobbies include playing piano, cooking, editing my husband’s photography and traveling.

I love working with adults and teens who want to learn and grow through understanding why trauma and depression affect a person the way that it does.  I am currently accepting new clients ages 14 and up for individual therapy, family therapy and couples therapy.
